[Ottawa] September 6, 2016 – Today UTG Digital Media (UTG) presented a cheque for close to $2,000 to United Way Ottawa as part of its support and sponsorship of the charity’s Ottawa pride parade activities. UTG provided its unique, state-of-the art, digital equipment and services to help bring to life the images and stories related to the charity’s new Path to Pride initiative.
Path to Pride is a 100% local initiative sharing stories to celebrate Ottawa’s diverse LGBTQ+ community and raising funds to support kids, families and seniors on their journeys. UTG Digital Media is a proud sponsor of the United Way’s pride parade float that helped promote the initiative.
“It is important for us to show support and be involved in our community,” said Alan Wehbe, UTG Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “We are very happy to use one of our very advanced digital outdoor products to promote United Way’s work in Ottawa.”
Despite the rain, it did not dampen the spirits of thousands who turned out to celebrate Ottawa’s Pride Week. Using United Way’s content, UTG Digital Media demonstrated its ability to display attractive, compelling photos and video using its mobile, outdoor, weatherproof, digital technology. “We wanted to ensure United Way could promote its latest initiative no matter the weather conditions,” added Alan Wehbe. “Our technology held up to the challenge and we’re pleased we could play a role in sharing this important message with the community. We were honored to be part of it.”
To United Way Ottawa, UTG’s Digital trailer and donation were very much appreciated. “We are grateful to UTG Digital Media and their employees for their support of our efforts at this year’s pride parade,” said Carole Gagnon, Vice President, Resource Development. “Thanks to their digital technology and support staff, we were able to share important stories and messages about the need to support Ottawa’s LGBTQ+ community. Many people don’t realize the kind of support children, families and seniors need in this part of our community and we’re pleased to have a partner like UTG who appreciates this work.”
